Base pay range
Role : Senior Business Development Manager
Reporting To : Buildscout Commercial Director
Salary : £45,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience | OTE - up to £95,000

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to help shape and scale our sales strategy. This role suits someone with proven SaaS sales experience who’s ready to drive growth in a fast-paced, ambitious start‑up. You’ll be proactive, commercially minded, and confident managing stakeholders while closing high-value deals.

About The Role
As Senior Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through proactive lead generation, client relationship management, and strategic sales execution. You’ll be a key figure in shaping Buildscout’s go-to-market approach and establishing scalable processes that set the foundation for long-term success. You’ll work closely with leadership to refine our commercial strategy, represent Buildscout at industry events, and help position us as a leading name in proptech innovation.
What You’ll Do
- Identify, engage, and convert potential clients through calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and networking.
- Take ownership of the full sales cycle - from prospecting and qualification to closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
- Deliver engaging product demonstrations and presentations - both virtually and in person - to highlight the value of Buildscout’s SaaS platform.
- Build strong, consultative relationships with prospects to understand their business goals and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Manage negotiations with senior decision-makers and multiple stakeholders within larger organisations.
- Collaborate with Product and Marketing to share client feedback and insights that shape future developments.
- Analyse sales data and pipeline performance to inform strategy and forecasting.
- Represent Buildscout at trade shows, events, and networking meetups to raise brand awareness and build partnerships.
- Lead by example - helping refine sales processes and mentoring junior team members as the team grows.
Requirements
You are a confident communicator and strategic thinker who combines relationship building with data driven sales. You bring experience, initiative, and curiosity, ready to take ownership in a fast growing and collaborative environment.
What you need : The Essentials
- At least 3 years’ experience in B2B SaaS sales
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Skilled in running live product demonstrations (virtual and in-person).
- Strong understanding of CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
- UK Right to Work required.
Desired : The Extras but not essential
- Experience also in property, land, or construction sectors.
- Experience also in a start-up or scaling business.
- Interest in technology and data-driven solutions.

- Final interview with Ganesh & Founder of Searchland.
