School Catering Assistant We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Catering Assistant to join our busy school kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation, cooking and serving of meals to pupils and staff

Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety in line with school and statutory requirements

Set up and clear down the dining area before and after service

Operate tills and assist pupils during meal times if required

Carry out cleaning duties including washing up, sanitising surfaces and maintaining kitchen equipment

Work as part of a supportive team to ensure efficient and smooth-running meal service

Requirements Previous catering or kitchen experience

Food Hygiene Certificate

A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work under pressure

Good communication skills and ability to interact with pupils in a polite, friendly manner

Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team

An enhanced DBS check will be required
