Your new role

As a HLTA, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Lead targeted interventions for small groups and individual pupils.
  • Support curriculum planning and resource preparation.
  • Work across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 to raise attainment and close learning gaps.
  • Provide specialist support for pupils with SEND or SEMH needs.
  • Assess and report on pupil progress and behaviour.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement effective strategies.

  • What you'll need to succeed

  • HLTA status or equivalent Level 4/5 qualification.
  • Proven experience supporting learning across primary key stages.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
  • Ability to lead lessons independently and manage classroom behaviour.
  • Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
