Were now recruiting an experienced General Manager to lead this flagship operation in the heart of Islington.
The Role
As General Manager at The Good Eating Company, you will be responsible for the full catering and hospitality operation across this complex, multi-format site from vibrant café service and exhibitor catering to large-scale exhibitions, conferences, and gala dinners. Youll lead a large, diverse team and act as the key contact for our client and event partners.
Youll be commercially accountable, operationally hands-on, and a natural people leader delivering outstanding service standards while hitting your KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, develop, and inspire a team of chefs, event staff, and supervisors
Ensure smooth and high-quality delivery across café, event catering, and VIP hospitality
Act as the main point of contact for the client, event organisers, and stakeholders
Manage budgets, labour planning, and financial performance (P&L responsibility)
Drive service innovation, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence
Maintain compliance across food safety, health & safety, and licensing
What Were Looking For
Proven experience as a General Manager or Senior Operations Manager in events, hospitality, or premium contract catering
Strong leadership and team-building ability in fast-paced, high-profile environments
Excellent communication, client-facing skills, and commercial acumen
A passion for quality food, great service, and delivering memorable guest experiences
Confident managing budgets, cost control, and labour efficiency
