Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Catering Assistant to join our team in Harewood, United Kingdom. As a key member of our catering staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and delivering exceptional customer service in our food service areas.
Assist in the preparation of food and snacks, following recipes and food safety guidelines
Maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen and restaurant areas at all times
Provide friendly, efficient, and hygienic service to all customers
Ensure prompt and efficient customer service, consistently exceeding expectations
Maintain visibility during service periods, being approachable and quick to fulfill customer needs
Keep service areas and counters clean, fully stocked, and presentable
Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient and effective service
Follow unit cleaning schedules rigorously
Attend and participate in required food safety, health and safety, and environmental training courses
Assist with additional kitchen and service area duties as requested by management
Qualifications
Basic food handling and safety knowledge
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Team player mentality with a collaborative approach
Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods
Keen attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional service
Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and techniques
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Previous experience in food service or hospitality (preferred but not required)
