We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Events Manager / Event Coordinator & Planner who has experience in contract catering, ideally from an operational and planning perspective.

Working as the Events Manager / Event Coordinator & Planner you will manage the event delivery process from beginning to end, ensuring the client’s needs are met from the tasting stage through to post event sign off.

As the Events Manager / Event Coordinator & Planner you will work closely with the sales team in the initial handover stage to ensure that the expectations of the client are carefully understood and carried out.

As a successful candidate you will need an operational and planning experience with a contract catering environment.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Events Manager / Event Coordinator & Planner include:

  • Responsible for placing orders, producing required items lists, collating menus, allergen sheets and all other administration associated with your events
  • Effectively communicate information internally to allow each department to carry out their roles
  • Produce profit and loss analysis for each event
  • Work with the operations manager to improve efficiency and service standards
  • Supervise and coordinate high numbers of staff to effectively carry out tasks and deliver catering services on events
  • Attend and contribute to weekly operations meetings
  • Assist in producing weekly logistics schedules
  • Answer phones and assist with the initial sales process when required, striving to be professional and knowledgeable about the company and the services provided.
  • You will take a friendly and warm approach, hoping to make all clients feel at home from the moment you answer the phone
  • CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Contract catering experience from an operational and planning perspective
  • Team leadership and management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • DESIRABLE

  • Manual handling
  • Chemical training
  • Health and safety level 2
  • Food safety level 2
  • Personal alcohol licence holder
  • Clean driving licence
  • First aid at work
