An exciting opportunity has come up for a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join a growing destination café-restaurant based just south of Newbury. The business operates with a strong emphasis on seasonality, sustainability, and high-quality local producemuch of it grown or sourced on-site or nearby. This role would suit a chef looking for a better work/life balance, while still working with a dynamic, creative kitchen team delivering regularly changing menus and occasional events. What you'll be doing: Running a section during prep and service Supporting across all areas of the kitchen as needed Contributing ideas to weekly-changing, seasonal menus Working daytime hours with only two regular evening shifts per week (Friday & Saturday) Assisting with occasional Thursday evening events (typically once per month) Whats on offer: £28,000 £35,000 salary, depending on experience 40-hour per week contract, with an average of 8 paid overtime hours per week Equal share of Tronc ~ £4K A monthly rota with advance notice Limited evening work, providing better work/life balance A collaborative, supportive kitchen team Real creative input in a quality-driven food operation What we're looking for: At least 1 year of experience in a Chef de Partie role or similar A genuine passion for seasonal, farm-to-table cooking Strong attention to detail and ability to stay calm under pressure Team spirit and flexibility across all sections To find out more or apply, please contact Mark Purton at Host Staffing.
