Job Description
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Chef De Partie to join our culinary team in the heart of London. This exciting opportunity is based in the City of London and offers a Monday to Friday work schedule, perfect for those looking to maintain a healthy work-life balance whilst pursuing their passion for cooking.
Lead the salad section, preparing both dressed and naked salads, along with daily meat and vegetarian cold protein options for the lunchtime salad bar
Prepare and cook a cooked-to-order main course three days a week, to be served live at the counter during lunch service
Engage directly with customers, providing a warm and engaging service experience whilst cooking and plating dishes
Support the team with kitchen health and safety measures, including cleaning duties and accurate labelling
Complete necessary paperwork, including FS13 forms
Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef with menu planning and weekly stocktaking
Maintain high-quality standards for all dishes, ensuring excellent presentation and taste
Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and taste new recipes, offering suggestions for improvement and innovation
Uphold cleanliness and organisation standards in the kitchen, particularly in your designated area
Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any issues promptly
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar role within a high-paced kitchen environment
Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification
Up-to-date food hygiene certification
Comprehensive knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
Excellent multitasking skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
Confidence and proficiency in customer-facing roles
Outstanding communication and teamwork skills
Creative flair and willingness to contribute to menu development
Ability to take direction and eagerness to learn new techniques
Flexibility to adapt to changing daily menus and customer requirements
