Manage staff in line with HR policies, including conduct, performance, absence, and payroll processes, ensuring a motivated and compliant team. Maintain staffing levels according to service requirements, liaising with agencies as necessary to ensure staffing continuity. Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards, HACCP protocols, and equipment checks across the Catering Services production area. Drive curriculum and job related training to ensure staff development and record completion are achieved as required. Liaise with third party contractors to deliver a quality, value for money service that meets contractual obligations and service specifications. Deliver all targets in line with financial and operational business needs, contributing to continuous site performance improvement. Establish effective two way communication within the team through briefings and ensure organisational objectives and values are communicated clearly. Escalate potential risks promptly to the Operations Manager, covering operational, financial, compliance, or reputational concerns.
What You Bring
Strong operational background in Catering services inclusive of Health and Safety, Food Safety ideally with experience in Healthcare. Proven experience of managing a diverse workforce within a service environment. Proven experience of managing to budget requirements within a catering service. Experience of working within a unionised environment. Experienced in training and development of staff.
