About the Role

We’re proud to partner with a leading university in Worcester seeking an ambitious and driven Operations Manager to support the continued growth and success of their catering department.

In this pivotal role, you’ll lead a dynamic team to deliver outstanding daily service across four vibrant campuses, while also managing an exciting hospitality calendar — from formal dinners and open days to welcome events and celebrations.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership:

• Inspire and develop your team to deliver exceptional service for students, staff, and visitors.

• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and pride.

Commercial Excellence:

• Drive financial performance and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.

• Ensure the catering and hospitality operations meet both commercial and quality objectives.

Innovation & Engagement:

• Partner with senior leaders to deliver creative initiatives — from themed pop-ups to interactive engagement events.

• Strengthen student engagement through feedback forums and committees, ensuring the offer evolves with their needs.

People Development:

• Recruit, train, and nurture talent within your team.

• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Operational Excellence:

• Maintain the highest standards of food quality, compliance, health & safety, and service delivery.

• Ensure a seamless and positive experience across all catering outlets.
