The Governing Body would like to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and talented Catering Manager to our team.

We are looking for someone with creativity, enthusiasm and a passion for food with excellent communication skills and an excellent understanding of how to manage nutritional and dietary requirements in a school environment. We require a Catering Manager who will complement and lead our wider catering team in school.
The ideal candidate will have:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Catering
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate
• Relevant experience in a senior position within a large scale catering establishment
• Experience in supervision and training of staff
• Demonstrate knowledge of recipes, methods of production, menu planning and costings
• Demonstrate understanding of HACCP’s and COSHH
• Demonstrate details of your capability in completing documentation and financial returns
• Demonstrate understanding of the daily routine of a kitchen supervisor
• Be able to provide good customer care and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of budgeting, food storage and stock control
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance Procedures
• Demonstrate experience in Healthy Nutritional Balanced Menus
• Demonstrate understanding of achieving financial performance targets
• The ability to converse at ease with customers and service users and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
