Job Title: School Catering Area Support Manager Location: Birmingham (travel across multiple school sites required) Salary: £26,264.52 per annum + mileage (45p per mile) Contract: Permanent, Term Time + 4 Weeks Hours: 37.5 per week Start Date: ASAPAre you an experienced catering professional ready to lead, support, and make an impact across multiple school sites? Our client, a leading contract catering company, is seeking a School Catering Area Support Manager to provide operational cover, team support, and service continuity across 20 school kitchens in the Birmingham area.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety, and takes pride in maintaining exceptional service and food standards. Key Responsibilities Provide management and kitchen cover during staff absences across multiple school sites Lead and motivate catering teams, maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and service Support, train, and develop catering staff and on-site managers Complete audits, monitor compliance, and manage stock and paperwork Build strong, positive relationships with clients and school stakeholders Support occasional weekend catering events within the business and industry division What Were Looking For Strong background in catering and people leadership Hands-on approach with the ability to cook and bake confidently Excellent organisational and communication skills Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working across multiple sites Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle The Package £26,264.52 per annum Mileage paid at 45p per mile Term Time + 4 Weeks contract Permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours per week) Great work-life balance and supportive working environment This role offers the chance to make a real difference to school communities while maintaining an excellent work-life balance.
