In preparation of the Disney Destiny Launch, Disney Cruise Line has new Demi Chef de Partie openings for the French Gastronomic restaurants on board of their cruise ships. Called Remy on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy or Enchanté on the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny, the restaurant has a capacity of 64 covers. The team of 12 to 15 chefs in the kitchen prepares traditional French recipes created by Arnaud Lallement. Known for his restaurant, LAssiette Champenoise, in the Champagne area in France, Arnaud Lallements cuisine revolves around high-quality ingredients (foie gras, blue lobster) all paired with the best champagnes. His respect for products has been recognised by many, receiving and keeping a 3rd Michelin star since 2014 or 5 toques by the Gault & Millau with a grade of 19/20. Joining this restaurant means joining a team of passionate chefs, all bringing different gastronomic experiences and working together to deliver the same quality of dishes than a 2* Michelin restaurant on land. If working on a ship is a big challenge and a lot of work, it offers competitive conditions and benefits. Conditions: Renewable 4 to 6 months contracts. Salary: $3400 per month net. This salary is exempt from taxes on board and in the UK/Europe. Food, accommodation, medical insurance, all work uniforms/equipment are included in your contract as well as your flights. Outside of work: During your spare shifts, you will have access, on board, to a gym, indoor/outdoor bars, a library You will also have the possibility to leave the ship and discover some new places. Regular ports of call include : Castaway Cay (Private island in the Bahamas), Nassau (Bahamas), Cozumel (Mexico), George Town (Grand Cayman), Falmouth (Jamaica), Tortola (British Virgin Islands) Requirements to apply: Have 2 years of experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or commis in a gastronomic/fine dining/gourmet restaurant.
