CNC Recruitment are seeking a reliable Cook to join our clients small, friendly team and help them deliver quality dishes to their customers. Our client is a family-run pub that has recently reopened, offering a welcoming atmosphere and traditional pub food.

Location: Cricket St Thomas
Pay: £15 per hour
Start Date: ASAP

Working Hours:

This role follows a rotating weekly schedule:

Week 1

* Tuesday: 5pm – 9pm

* Wednesday: 5pm – 9pm

* Thursday: 5pm – 9pm

Week 2

* Tuesday: 5pm – 9pm

* Wednesday: 5pm – 9pm

* Thursday: 5pm – 9pm

* Friday: 5pm – 9pm

* Saturday: 5pm – 9pm

* Sunday: 10am – 5pm

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking traditional pub food to a high standard, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare and cook traditional pub dishes consistently and to a high standard

* Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are followed at all times

* Maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment

* Manage stock and minimise waste where possible

* Work efficiently during busy service periods

* Support the family-run team ethos and positive working environment

Requirements

* Previous experience cooking traditional pub food

* Level 2 or Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate – ideal but not essential

* Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

* Reliable, punctual, and hard-working
