We are recruiting for an experienced Cook to work in a Private Adults Residential home, which is opening in November 2025.

As a Cook you will prepare and serve nutritious well balanced meals for residents in accordance with dietary needs, preferences, and health requirements, while maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.

Key responsibilities include: Plan, prepare and cook meals for residents Cater to any individual dietary requirements, ie diabetic, vegetarian, texture modified diets etc Ensure meals are presented attractively and served on time Develop weekly menus in consultation with other staff members, ensuring variety and nutritional balance Adapt menus based on seasonal produce and resident feedback

As a Cook you will ensure the maintenance of a clean and organised kitchen in line with health and safety regulations. The proper storage, labelling and rotation of food, and comply with all food hygiene standards and complete necessary documentation/records are kept ie temperature logs.

The Cook will monitor food supplies and place orders as needed and work within budgetary constraints while minimising waste. You will engage positively with residents encouraging feedback on meals and train and supervise kitchen assistants as and when applicable.
