Pay & Schedule

• Hourly Rate: £12.50
• Overtime Rates: £18.75 (standard), £25.00 (bank holidays)
• Shift Patterns:
  06:00-15:00 | 07:00-16:00 | 08:00-17:00
• Rotas: 5 on, 3 off or 4 on, 2 off
• Start Date: August / September
• Contract: Ongoing, with Temp-to-Perm opportunities available
• Flexibility: Availability for all shifts and rotas is essential

Key Duties & Responsibilities

As a General Assistant at Gate Gourmet, you will provide vital support across various departments, including the kitchen, dishwash area, and bonded warehouse. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing food trays and airline meal sets
• Conducting temperature and quality assurance checks
• Checking, sealing, and labelling flight trolleys and canisters
• Receiving, unpacking, and organising stock
• Cleaning and stripping returned airline equipment
• Assisting with general warehouse and catering logistics
• Ensuring strict compliance with food hygiene and safety standards

Candidate Profile

• Reliable and punctual team players
• Willing to work flexibly across multiple departments
• Capable of safely lifting and moving catering equipment
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on work environment
• No prior experience required - a positive attitude is key

Pre-Employment Requirements (CAA-Regulated Role)

• Pass a Criminal Record Check (paid for by us)
• Provide a verifiable 5-year work and UK address history (support provided)
