Catering Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join a Primary school kitchen team. You will play a key role in preparing and serving nutritious meals to pupils and staff, helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming dining environment.

Key Responsibilities

*

Assisting with food preparation and basic cooking

*

Serving meals to pupils and staff in a friendly manner

*

Setting up and clearing down the dining area

*

Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment

*

Ensuring high standards of hygiene and food safety are maintained at all times

*

Supporting the catering team as required during busy service period.

About You

*

Friendly, hardworking and reliable

*

Able to work well as part of a team

*

Good awareness of food hygiene and health & safety (Ideally in receipt of food and hygiene certificate)

*

Experience in a catering or school setting is desirable but not essential
