Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Catering Assistant to join a busy and friendly secondary school kitchen in the Prestwich area. This is a long-term role starting immediately, ideal for someone with strong school catering experience and a passion for providing quality meals in an educational setting.

The successful Catering Assistant will:

Have previous significant experience working in a school kitchen or similar large-scale catering environment.

Hold relevant Food Hygiene and Safety qualifications.

Be confident preparing, serving, and assisting with food preparation under supervision.

Be proactive, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Hold a valid enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.

You'll be joining a welcoming and efficient kitchen team committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and service for both staff and students.
