About the Role: As a Catering Assistant, you will work under the direction of the chef to help prepare and serve meals to pupils and staff. You will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment during meal times.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation and serving of nutritious meals in line with school menus and dietary requirements.

Support the chef with basic food preparation tasks, including portioning and plating.

Serve meals efficiently and politely to pupils and staff.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas.

Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety procedures, including correct handling of allergens.

Help with washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment and surfaces.

Monitor stock levels and report to the chef or supervisor as needed.
