Assistant Restaurant Manager

The successful candidate will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to ensure seamless day-to-day operations, outstanding guest experiences, and smooth service across all shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Restaurant Manager in the daily operation of the restaurant
Lead and run service shifts confidently, ensuring Michelin-level standards at all times
Be highly hands-on during service, working as a waiter/waitress when required
Deliver warm, knowledgeable, and precise guest service
Manage reservations and guest communication using SevenRooms or similar booking software
Oversee table management, pacing, and flow of service
Assist with staff training, coaching, and performance standards
Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally and discreetly
Support administrative tasks including reporting, emails, and system updates
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Significant waiting/waitressing experience in a fine-dining or Michelin-level establishment
Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant management role
Comfortable running shifts independently
Strong knowledge of fine-dining service etiquette and standards
Experience using SevenRooms or similar reservation systems
Confident computer skills (email, basic reporting, booking systems)
Calm, adaptable, and professional under pressure
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Desirable:
Knowledge of French language
Strong understanding of French cuisine, ingredients, and service style
Good wine knowledge (WSET or equivalent an advantage)
