This is a permanent, part-time position with a guaranteed 20 hours per week.

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare, cook, and serve healthy, balanced meals to pupils in line with service standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently following training
  • Set up and clear down dining areas, including moving and arranging furniture
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all catering areas
  • Support the Unit Manager with task allocation and team supervision
  • Step in for the Unit Manager when required
  • Communicate with pupils, staff, and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner
  • Attend training sessions and team meetings as needed

  • Keep catering areas and equipment clean and hygienic

  • Have previous catering or food preparation experience (preferred but not essential

    • Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday 
  • 20 hours per week – term time only

    • Qualifications & Experience:

  • Basic numeracy, literacy, and communication skills
  • Catering qualifications such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ equivalent are desirable
  • On-the-job training will be provided
